Just four New York Ranger prospects were in action on a rare Monday of hockey for the prospects. They all got to see their team’s win even if the wins were pretty ugly to watch.

Holiday Face-Off Tournament

Drew Fortescue had two secondary assists as his 13th-ranked Boston College Eagles defeated Lake Superior 4-3 in the consolation game. Fortescue earned both his assists on first period goals as Boston College jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead.

Lake Superior rallied with three unanswered goals before the Eagles scored twice in the third to earn the win. Fortescue would take a tripping minor at 18:18 of the third giving Lake Superior a 6-on-3 advantage with their goalie pulled.

Ty Henricks was scoreless as his seventh-ranked Western Michigan Broncos defeated second-ranked Wisconsin 4-1 to win the tournament. Henricks did not record any shots as the Broncos defeated the host team for the tournament title.

Great Lakes Invitational

Sean Barnhill was scoreless as his third-ranked Michigan State Spartans defeated Michigan Tech 4-1 to win the tournament. Barnhill was credited with one shot as the Spartans won the tournament for the second straight year.

World Under-20 Tournament

E. J. Emery was scoreless as Team USA survived a 6-5 game with Slovakia in the preliminary round to improve to 3-0. Emery was on the third pair defense credited with 12:52 of ice time and no recorded stats.
