Barrie Advances
Once again just one New York Rangers prospect in action on Saturday. This time it was Evan Passmore and his Barrie Colts looking to eliminate the Niagara IceDogs to advance in their OHL Eastern Conference playoff series.
Barrie came into this one up 3-1 and advance they are after a 5-0 shutout win to win the series 4-1. Passmore was scoreless on no shots and a +2 as he finished this series 0-1-1.
Next up for the Colts will be the Ottawa 67’s who defeated the Kingston Frontenacs in four games. The schedule has not been released but it is expected that they will be off until late next week.
Windsor and Flint going to War
The OHL did announce the schedule for the second round series between the Windsor Spitfires and the Flint Firebirds. This ought to be a dandy as these two teams fought for most of the season for the West Division title which Windsor won.
Liam Greentree (4-3-7) leads the Spitfires as they take on Jacob Battaglia (5-10-15) and Nathan Aspinall (6-7-13) and their Firebirds. This series is going to be too close to call but Windsor has the experience and tradition while this is uncharted territory for the Firebirds.

Can Cape Breton Come Back?
Raoul Boilard and his Cape Breton Eagles are in Newfoundland for game six looking to try to force a game seven. The hard part is this series has been played with a 2-3-2 scheduling format.
That means Cape Breton needs two road wins to complete the comeback and advance to the next round. Raoul Boilard (4-3-7) has been Cape Breton’s leading scorer and best player.
If his team does not comeback and advance then Boilard’s QMJHL career is over.
